Challenge
When the Manhattan 5G lab shut down, we still needed to host execs and show 5G value. Off-the-shelf Mozilla Hubs wasn’t executive-ready: we needed better navigation, private spaces, custom avatars, and production-quality scene tools.
Approach
Forked Mozilla Hubs and added a custom animation triggering system, breakout rooms with a microservice to manage them, private audio channels, scene dev tools for artists, Ready Player Me avatar integration, and fast-travel navigation. Built on Three.js, A-Frame, and supporting JS services.
Outcome
Kept high-stakes 5G demos running through lockdowns and gave execs an elevated, branded experience across VR, desktop, and mobile.
