Challenge

Capture the feel of flying squirrels—climb any surface, invert, glide—and keep it playable in a one-week sprint while exploring new movement tech.

Approach

Built an advanced Unity character controller with layered raycast “sensors” to detect and transition across surfaces (upright, inverted, vertical). Added a satisfying glide inspired by wingsuit footage, explosive acorn throws, and Photon multiplayer so players could have aerial acorn battles together.

Outcome

Validated a novel traversal stack with multiplayer interactions and established a strong foundation for a future polished release.
