Challenge
Capture the feel of flying squirrels—climb any surface, invert, glide—and keep it playable in a one-week sprint while exploring new movement tech.
Approach
Built an advanced Unity character controller with layered raycast “sensors” to detect and transition across surfaces (upright, inverted, vertical). Added a satisfying glide inspired by wingsuit footage, explosive acorn throws, and Photon multiplayer so players could have aerial acorn battles together.
Outcome
A compelling movement prototype that showcases custom traversal tech and multiplayer interactions—waiting for a rainy week to polish further, but already proves the core feel.
