Challenge

Modern users jump between devices and apps, but identifiers (phone numbers, enterprise IDs, federation tokens) and notifications remain siloed. We needed a carrier-grade way to expose numbers-as-a-platform for third parties without losing control, while respecting activity context and user priority.

Approach

Led engineering on a services layer that ingests client/app configurations via an agnostic interface and SDKs, links identifiers across clients, and continuously scores activity windows. Incoming notifications are routed through an activity service that ranks eligible clients and selects the optimal delivery path. The architecture keeps Verizon IP centralized while allowing partners to plug in without bespoke integrations.

Outcome

Delivered a reusable platform that lets Verizon and partners target users across fleets with context-aware routing, cutting wasted notifications and improving reach. As engineering lead, I ensured the SDKs, scoring logic, and governance controls aligned with the carrier’s network and security standards.
