Challenge
Retrofit an existing climate setup in a metal container with smarter sensing and control, using off-the-shelf devices while keeping network reliability high.
Approach
Architected a LAN-driven system with a Raspberry Pi coordinator, ESP32 Wi-Fi nodes, smart plugs, and thermostats interfacing with existing HVAC. Planned data collection and control loops over the local network. Sourced and purchased materials for install.
Outcome
System design and hardware stack ready for deployment; demonstrates practical networking, IoT integration, and cost-focused automation for a real farm operation.
