Challenge
Needed responsive character movement, progression, and interactions while rapidly iterating art. Also required a mobile prototype with intuitive inputs and a content pipeline that could turn photos into animation-ready sprites.
Approach
Implemented core systems in Unity C# (movement, progression, interactions, effects). Prototyped mobile with an input abstraction layer on Unity’s new Input System. Created a photo-to-sprite pipeline to strip backgrounds and animate characters. Built scene creation tools so technical artists could assemble levels quickly.
Outcome
